I think this summer program has been an invaluable experience for my son, Edwin. I can see that he has matured after completing this program, and gained many skills that will be very valuable.

After hearing a lot of stories from him about his program, I could tell he had a very enjoyable time and made many memories. He would not have been able to have this sort of teaching experience and he came back with a smile on his face. Telling me all his stories with much excitement and smiles. It was very pleasant to see and it was obvious that he thought the program was very rewarding and useful.

I could also tell he had picked up many useful lifelong skills on this trip. As a volunteer teaching, he had to be organised, firm with the students, creative and resourceful. He seemed to have gained a lot of respect from his students and been able to meet his objective which was to make the students gain an interest in learning English. He has always been good at interacting with others and this was a good opportunity for him to continue to refine his communication skills. He has matured over those 4 weeks he spent in Taiwan with his team and his students.

Another significant part is the friendships he has made over that period. He was able to network with people from across the world, as he was one of the only 2 Australian participants of the summer program. This is a good step for his future, and he has made lifelong good friends.
I am also glad that my son could provide back to the wonderful community of Taiwan where he studied there when he was 14 and provided him with many fond memories on his 5 trips to Taiwan.

As a parent, I am very happy that he completed the program and I could tell he did it to the best of his abilities. The program has been very rewarding for him, and I know he wished the teaching period was even longer. I would recommend this program to any other as it seemed like such a good program to gain experience and make new friends.
